Andy Hallett, Lorne from TV's Angel, dead at 33

I was sad to learn of the death of Andy Hallett. He may not have been the most famous of actors, but I enjoyed his work. And to learn that he has died at the age of 33 is a terrible thing.

Hallett was best known for his work on the television show Angel. He played the character of Lorne, a green good demon that hated violence and could tell your future from hearing a person sing. His character was not the most attractive on the series, nor the most important, but he was a key main character and likeable.

Most of us could not recognize Hallett without the makeup he wore for the show. Even fewer might know that Hallett was a singer and quite good at it. He has sang with Patti LaBelle and it was his musical ability that created his role and first acting job - which was Lorne.

My condolences to his father, Dave, and the friends of Hallett. 33 is too young for anyone.
