Dear visitor,

Welcome to Black Entertainment USA. I hope that you have found the site to be interesting and informative. It is my most deep desire to provide you with an enjoyable and insightful view of the news and events that are in the media or involving entertainers and celebrities worldwide, with an emphasis on how these may affect African Americans and Latino/Hispanic Americans.

I realize that there are multiple sites on the internet that may touch upon many of the same items that I speak about. The growth of the blogshpere has made it even more difficult to sort out where the information you seek may be hiding. So I'm glad that you have been able to work through the haze to have found my hidden gem.

Unlike the large corporate media distributors, or other similar sites, I seek to provide not only information I believe to be of importance, or entertaining, but also my thoughts. In the rush to gather and distribute the latest soundbites I feel there has been a loss of the impact these bit of information contain. Details are the heart of what is relevant and interpretation the heart of what is entertaining. Too few media outlets focus on this point, injecting their own corporate agendas to drive profits before all else.

Concurrent with this fact is the observation that the limited number of Black Americans, and Latino/Hispanic Americans, in the media causes a failure to highlight or investigate issues that are important to us. I hope to fill a small part of that void. I realize that no one person can cover so broad a spectrum, and that the views I hold are not those of every person or visitor to the sight. But for the items I do speak upon I try to evoke thought and reflection. If I can help to bring about understanding, or compel debate on any issue then I have achieved my goal.

Nothing happens in a vacuum, and the internet proves that everything can be found out about anyone with a speed never before seen. Yet it is the mission of this site, and it's sister site - Vass (www.mvass.com) - to slow down this barrage of news to define how it affects us all. Especially if we are people of color in America.

I invite you to take part in this experience with me. I also seek to hear your voice on the issues I bring up. It is the collection of our combined voices that effect change, and real understanding. Please feel free to always comment, in accent or disagreement, on any post you find on any site I have. Also feel free to contact me about any changes to the sites that you would like to see. If you would like to see a new site design, more emphasis on my original poetry, more reviews of film or books or restaurants, or just a change in the color of the links let me know. I want to know what you think.

I promise to try to always provide the things that the majority of visitors and readers of my sites desire. Please do understand though that while this is very important to me not all things can change quickly. I maintain several businesses and am not rich, so if I do not act quickly do not think your words have gone unnoticed.

Now that I have written this barrage of information [It's never been said that I am short-winded or often at a loss for words, lol] let me leave you with this thought. Thank you for having come to this site and your interest in what I have to say. I hope that you will return, even if the odd post does not match the views that you hold. Either way I hope that you pass on news of my site to your friends and colleagues.
