A message from Michael Vass - President of M V Consulting, Inc.

I just wanted to take a moment to update all my readers on the things happening here at M V Consulting, Inc.

Like everyone, we have felt the impact of the economic crisis. As such we have had to delay some of the promotions, photo shoots, and clothing line launches we had planned for this year. I emphasize delay and not that we are canceling anything. We are moving forward, just at a slightly slower pace.

As such the 2 photo shoots planned to have been done by this point are pushed back to later this year. Though I can state that Todd Messinger (who took the latest photo shoot at Guys & Dolls pool hall in Endicott, NY) and Michael Rolston are slated to be the photographers of these upcoming shoots. We are still selecting several models for these photo shoots, so for those aspiring models or those already working, we are looking over head shots. You can contact us at info@vassconsult.com for more details.

Another item that was pushed back is a free promotion (give-away contest) we are working on. While I will not give out details yet, I can say that this will help those looking to start or expand a career. With the international exposure that M V Consulting can provide, we hope that someone will be able to say that their future fame and fortune was started via our company.

Something that we are not pushing back is our efforts to support the men and women of our military and the charities we donate to. Several efforts are upcoming, in conjunction with local VFW and American Legion posts, to help provide support and attention to the needs of those that have pledged to maintain the quality of life each of us enjoys everyday.

Additionally, I have confirmed with Mr. Gregg Cordero that the Memorial for Madden Cordero will be having its second annual fundraising for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. This will be in the 3rd quarter of this year, and M V Consulting will again be a contributor to this cause. We hope that those of you that wish to, will also join us in raising funds for the families that the Ronald McDonald Charities helps every day. More details on this will be forthcoming.

One thing that has been delayed far more than expected has been the re-launch of the VASS political blog. The sheer volume of material, and the technical time involved has turned out to be far more than what was initially expected. That combined with the economic slowdown, and the increased needs of our clients, has delayed the full re-launch.

Currently the VASS blog is up, and current posts relating to politics and other issues are being made. The revamped site is being updated on a regular basis with every post and comment that formerly was found at the blogger driven site. Until the re-launch is completed, the old site will remain available, and old posts will continue to be found there.

In a related matter, we are currently working on creating a detailed coverage of the entire 2008 election process. This will provide information on several of the candidates from the moment they announced their desire to run for President, up to the results of the election itself. In total this will cover about 2 years of the election cycle. We believe that this will be both a useful tool for new voters in the 2012 election cycle, as well as an interesting point of view for those that are more familiar with the political process.

Separate of these events, we want to thank all of our readers for your continued interest in M V Consulting, and our blogs. It is solely because of our readers that we continue to grow, now reaching over 125 countries and tens of thousands of readers each month. This is no small achievement, and we acknowledge that it is only possible via your support.

We also thank our readers for checking out the clothing lines of M V Consulting, as well as the ads of our advertisers. Neither is the primary focus of our site, nor will we allow it to become so, but it does help us to maintain and grow the Company. With your continued support and interest to the advertisers and our clothing lines we are ever more capable of providing more free give-aways, promotions, and donations to organizations like Not On Our Watch and the Ronald McDonald Charities.

For those that wish to advertise on the sites of M V Consulting, Inc. we refer you to our advertising rates, and ask you to present any inquiries to our info@vassconsult.com email. While we will never flood our sites with advertising, we are always willing to work with potential advertisers as long as space permits. And we are confident that our advertising rates are among the best in the industry for the reach and depth of the world that we touch.

Lastly, I want to note that in August – September M V Consulting will be doing a series of posts focusing on Las Vegas and the APA National Pool Tournament. We are working on providing video of the event, interviews with players, and insight about the tournament.

This is part of our continuing effort to provide entertainment interviews and coverage that is unique and interesting. So far this year we have been able to have several interviews with independent film directors – some were Sundance winners, others were featured at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. We are working on interviews with several writers, additional film directors, actors and actresses, a couple of politicians, and a few surprises.

In summation, we at M V Consulting are striving to live up to the confidence and commitment you give us every day that you return to our sites. It is something we never forget. It is the reason we work hard to maintain high quality in all that we present to you. It is the reason we never stop.

I personally thank you, and on behalf of all those at M V Consulting, Inc.

Sincerely,

Michael Vass

Donate for breast implants or school books, NAACP, and Jerry's kids

Ok, it’s official. America is screwed up in a massive way. I can only come to that conclusion after finding out about a site that I just can’t believe exists. But it does, and it’s real. Not only that, it was a featured as a story on Fox News earlier today. What is the site? MyFreeImplants.com [No I will not link directly to the site – if you need to see it you can get there easily enough]

Only in America is it possible for such a site to not only exist, but to relatively flourish. The goal of this site is that flat-chested women (18 and over) place their pictures and bio on the site. Men (or women I suppose) who find a particular woman interesting, contact that woman and speak with them via email, as I understand. Based on the looks of the woman, and conversations – possibly with reward of “sexy photos” (at the discretion of the ladies involved) – the ‘benefactors’ donate money towards the ladies gaining cosmetic surgery that will augment their breasts.

That’s the basis of the site. Simple direct and legal. Based on the 4 successes listed on the homepage of the site right now this site has raised at least $23,345. Do the women look different? Yes. Better? That’s dependant on your personal opinions.

But the thing that I am amazed by is what I just mentioned. This site raises money for basically nothing. I won’t equate it with porn, nor an internet somewhat interactive version of Playboy, but I don’t think it’s far from it either.

I’m sure the women involved are quite happy with the results of the site. I’m sure that women that want the cosmetic surgery, without the means to afford it, and willing to undergo this process feel justified. I don’t question them at all. But I must say I’m annoyed by it.

Call it a bit of jealousy. I request donations of .50 cents to $1 (more if you want) for the virtually daily efforts I provide on my blogs and sites. I provide t-shirts, mugs, poetry and more, updated several times a year. I use those donations to help fund the cost of the various sites, and my give away contests (like the $1,100 I gave away for Christmas) and efforts to improve the quality of life – like the I Love America That’s Why I Vote! campaign. Effectively I give back a tangible something for the precious and generous donations that I receive from you my readers. And I thank each and every one of you that do this for me.

But this website seems to just receive money for nothing. I don’t get it. I don’t see the value in it. Hell, even going to a strip club has more value and return in it. And why do the male benefactors waste their money in such a manner? Forget my donations, the $23,000 mentioned above is discretionary money that could have gone to AIDS prevention and cure efforts. It could buy new school books for a local public elementary school, or help feed kids in those schools. It can give the homeless meals, clothing, and shelter. It could go to organizations that support the improvement of African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, and other people of color in every aspect of our lives. Each of those things is far more worthy of a donation than me, and definitely the breast implant site.

So maybe I’m a bit jealous. Maybe I want to get .50 cents per reader so that I can do a huge campaign to help register votes so that the President elected in November realizes that they need to make substantive changes to improve America for Blacks and Hispanics/Latinos. Maybe I want $1 a reader to be able to give a high school student their first year in college free. Maybe I want to give multiple families across the nation money so they can enjoy a feast on the holiday, have gifts for the kids, and/or pay off a few bills. And yes, having a few extra dollars for myself if possible would be nice.

At least I’m honest. And I strive to give a somewhat tangible return for that, even if I don’t get anything. Hell, if the choice is between me and the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon, give it to Jerry’s kids. But $5,000 to look at pictures of a woman with bigger boobs?

I suggest this to those that would spend their money so frivolously. Buy a DVD for $20, take the remaining $4,980 and split it among a few of the organizations I’ve just mentioned. And if you have .50 cents, or a $1 or 2 extra, I’m happy to receive that as well.

The point is you can do far better, for far more people, than an optional self-respect boost for a single person.

And if you think I’m wrong, I’d love to know why.

Contest winner talks about Instinct - 11.13.2007.1

The following is an email I received from one of the winners of the Dinner at the Instinct Restaurant contest. I have not altered this email in any manner, and present it to you verbatim.

I am happy to hear from my contest winners and glad to know when they enjoy the prizes I have provided.

Keep an eye out for my next contest which will award a prize before the end of the holiday season.

Michael Vass – President of M V Consulting, Inc.

I won a certificate to have dinner for two at Instincts in Endicott. I must say this the dinner was superb. We had an appetizer of Fried Calamari to start off with.....Then ordered our dinners I had Crusted Baked Salmon with snow peas and oven potatoes......my fiancé had Jamaican Pork Chops with snow peas and oven potatoes............they were both superb dishes. We had tried each others the Jamaican Pork Chops had a raspberry sauce and it was like when you took a bite it had all the favors come together but not over power each other.........very well blending together. For dessert we ordered Banana Fosters now that was a exploding treat. When you bite into a Banana Fosters it explodes in your mouth its warm, the flavors of inside blend so well with the whipped cream, and chocolate and other sauce believe its caramel that is drizzled on the edges of your plate that you rub your Banana Foster into before you bite into it if you wish..........the whole meal was beyond my expectations. The meal was like a meal from a five star restaurant. I would recommend if you want a superb meal go to Instincts..........We will be going again and soon. We drove a little over two hours away to go I am so glad we went..........Thanks very much Sophia

A free dinner, or a charitiable donation. I think it's worth entering, but I am biased as I did create it.

Bon Apetite!

Dinner give away contest - 9.20.2007.2

In celebration of the 500th post on Black Entertainment USA (http://www.blackentertainmentblog.com), owned by parent company M V Consulting, Inc., a give-away contest has been created in association with the Instinct restaurant and nightclub.
Photo found at www.vassconsult.com
Announced today by M V Consulting, Inc. president Michael Vass, the give-away contest will be open to all visitors of the blogs and websites owned by the Company. Mr. Vass stated,
"I wanted to give something back to all the repeat visitors that have helped the company and all the blogs grow. Without their attention, comments, and word of mouth there would never have been 500 posts seen in over 62 countries each month. That is impressive growth and repeat visits. It just seems to justify what I believe, that giving back to this community is the right thing to do."

The terms of the contest are as follows:

    1. The contest will be providing gift certificates for a full meal, with a bottle of wine for those age 21 and older, for 2 at the Instinct Restaurant located in Endicott, NY valued at $75 each certificate.
    2. For those that are not in the Greater Binghamton area, or not planning to be in this area to claim their prize, a donation can be made by M V Consulting, Inc. to the organization of the winner's choice (as allowed by the United States law) for an amount equal to the original prize.
    3. Contestants need to send an email to Contest@vassconsult.com with the headline or body containing the words "I'm Hungry"
    Photo found at www.blackentertainmentblog.com
    4. Contestants must be 18 years of age to be eligible, no purchase is necessary. Winners must be 21 or older to have any alcohol products.
    5. Contest will run from September 24, 2007 to October 14, 2007 at 11:59pm.
    6. All emails received must be valid email addresses.
    7. Upon notification winners must provide an address where gift certificates can be received. Only 1 address per family is valid for this contest.
    8. Winners of contest agree to allow the use of their first name, last name initial and state for promotional purposes by M V Consulting, Inc. and any of its websites.
